KEY POST-WISE NOTES FROM THE OFFICIAL NOTICE

  • Delhi Police SI (Executive): Male candidates need a valid LMV (Motorcycle & Car) driving license on the PE&MT date. Male candidates without it can apply for SI in CAPFs only. Departmental Delhi Police candidates with 3+ years of service can also apply for Male vacancies.
  • SI (GD) in CAPFs (BSF, CISF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB): Selected candidates are liable to serve anywhere in India.
  • SI (Fire) in CISF: Male candidates only, with a different age limit (18-30 years), a different educational qualification and different chest measurement standards.

3. Recruitment Stages & Exam Scheme

The examination consists of Paper-I (CBE) → Physical Standard Test (PST) & Physical Endurance Test (PET) → Paper-II (CBE) → Detailed Medical Examination (DME). All stages are mandatory. The Computer Based Examination schedule will be notified later.

6. Step-by-Step Online Application Process (OTR & Form Filling)

  • Step 1: One-Time Registration (OTR) on SSC Portal: Visit ssc.gov.in and complete OTR. An OTR made on the old website (ssc.nic.in) will not work on the new website. Candidates are advised to opt for Aadhaar-Based Authentication.
  • Step 2: Login & Select Examination: Log in using your OTR details and select ‘Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces Examination, 2026’. You can also apply through the ‘mySSC’ mobile app.
  • Step 3: Live Photo & Signature: A real-time photo is captured while filling the form (good light, plain background, camera at eye level, no cap, mask or glasses). Upload scanned signature in JPEG format (10 to 20 KB, about 6.0 cm x 2.0 cm).
  • Step 4: Fill Details & Centre Preferences: Select 3 exam centre preferences in the same region, enter educational qualification and other details. Check everything using Preview/Print before submitting.
  • Step 5: Application Fee Payment: Pay ₹100 online via BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or Visa/MasterCard/Maestro/RuPay Debit card. Women, SC, ST and Ex-Servicemen eligible for reservation are exempted. Unpaid applications are rejected.

Q1: What is the age limit and crucial cut-off date for SSC CPO 2026?

Ans: The age cut-off date is 01.08.2026. For all posts except SI (Fire) in CISF, the age limit is 20 to 25 years (born between 02.08.2001 and 01.08.2006). For SI (Fire) in CISF it is 18 to 30 years (born between 02.08.1996 and 01.08.2008). Age relaxation is given as per rules (SC/ST 5 years, OBC 3 years, Ex-Servicemen 3 years after deducting military service).

Q2: Is a valid Driving License compulsory for all Sub-Inspector posts?
