3. Step-by-Step Guide to Download the Tier-I Admit Card
- Visit the official website ssc.gov.in (or the official website of your SSC region).
- Click Login and enter your Registration Number and Password.
- Open the link Status / Download Admit Card for Tier-I for Combined Graduate Level Exam-2026.
- Check all details: name, photograph, date of birth, roll number, exam date, shift timing, reporting time and exam venue.
- Download the admit card PDF and take clear printouts (keep at least 2 copies).
Critical Notice: Phased Admit Card Download
SSC releases the admit card about 2 to 3 days before each candidate’s own exam date. For example, candidates with an exam on 30 September could download it from 27 September. If your exam is later in October, your link will become active closer to your exam date. A message such as “Admit Card Not Available” does not mean your candidature is cancelled. Please check again 2 to 3 days before your exam date. The city intimation slip only tells your exam city and date. It is not the admit card.

4. Tier-I Shifts and Computer Based Exam Pattern
Tier-I is held in multiple one-hour shifts every day. Your shift, reporting time and gate-closing time are printed on your own admit card and can differ by centre. Always follow the timings on your admit card.

- Marking: 2 marks for each correct answer and 0.50 mark deducted for each wrong answer. There is no mark for an unattempted question.
- Each section has its own fixed 15-minute timer. Unused time from one section cannot be used in another section.
- Candidates eligible for a scribe get 20 minutes per section (1 hour 20 minutes in total), as per the notification.
5. Mandatory Documents for Entry at the Exam Venue
- Printed admit card: A clear printout of the admit card downloaded from ssc.gov.in.
- Original valid photo ID proof: Aadhaar Card or e-Aadhaar printout, Voter ID, Driving Licence, PAN Card or Passport (or another valid photo ID mentioned on your admit card). The date of birth on the ID must match the admit card.
- Proof of date of birth: If your photo ID does not show the full date of birth, carry an additional original document such as the 10th (Matriculation) certificate or birth certificate.
- Passport size photographs: At least two recent colour passport size photographs.
- Candidates who could not complete Aadhaar authentication: They must report at the exam centre 2 hours before the scheduled start of the exam.
- Scribe candidates: Carry the medical certificate, the undertaking and a photocopy of the scribe’s photo ID, as required.
6. Exam Hall Code of Conduct and Prohibited Items
- Not allowed: Mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, calculators, books, paper chits, bags and any electronic gadgets.
- Allowed: A transparent water bottle, the printed admit card, valid photo ID and passport size photographs.
- Dress: Wear simple clothes without large metal buttons or heavy jewellery, and simple footwear, as you will go through metal detector (frisking) checks.
- Gate closing: The gate closes strictly at the gate-closing time printed on your admit card. Late entry is not allowed.
7. Forgot Registration Number or Password and Helpdesk
If you have lost your SSC Registration Number or Password, recover it on ssc.gov.in:
- Click Forgot Password / Registration Number on the SSC login page.
- Select your permanent state and enter your registered email ID or mobile number.
- Verify with the OTP received by SMS or email to see your Registration Number and reset your password.

8. Notice to Students and Candidates
Please read carefully before you go for the exam:
- Download your admit card only from the official website.
- The city intimation slip is not your admit card. Check your admit card again 2 to 3 days before your exam date.
- Check your name, photo, date of birth, category, shift, reporting time and venue on the admit card. If there is any mistake, contact your SSC regional office at once.
- Carry the printed admit card, the original photo ID and at least two passport size photographs. The ID must match the admit card.
- Reach the centre well before the reporting time. The gate closes strictly on time and late entry is not allowed.
- Do not carry mobile phone, smartwatch, calculator, bag or any electronic device to the exam hall.
- Tier-I has a fixed 15-minute timer for each section. Practise with sectional timers so that you use your time well in every section.
- SSC never takes money for giving jobs. Do not trust anyone who promises selection or a paper for money.
- Using unfair means or giving wrong information can lead to cancellation of candidature and legal action.
